A Demon Lord's Tale: Dungeons, Monster Girls, and Heartwarming Bliss

Chapter 571.3

I patted her and continued my words.

“It’s okay. Your kindness has been well received. Otherwise, why would he give you something like this?” (Yuki)

It was unquestionable that it was because of Sakuya that they had met Mukuro uncle, and that it was Shii’s kindness that had helped him to make his final decision.

As a complete outsider, I could only imagine… since he did pass on what he had been protecting until the present day to Shii and Sakuya….

….He wouldn’t have done such a thing if he didn’t accept them.

“Is that so…?” (Shii)

“Yes. So, Shii, don’t forget about that uncle. You must remember him. That’s the best way to show your respect.” (Yuki)

“Un… Yes!” (Shii)

Shii nodded broadly with a big smile, albeit shadier than usual.

With that smile and the kindness she possessed, I was sure she could save the world.

“Kaka… Now, you must be hungry. Everyone is waiting for us, let’s go and have something to eat.” (Lefi)

“Shii, what would you like to eat?” (Layla)

“Layla’s hand-rolled rice!” (Shii)

“Me too.” (Yuki)

“Me as well.” (Lefi)

“…I’d like to have something from this country…” (Layla)

Layla said a little shyly, and we laughed and started walking back the way we came.

On the way back, I looked at the face of Sakuya, who had finally stopped crying, thanks to Lefi’s soothing.

He was a tiny little rascal who fit in Lefi’s slender arms.

“Really, you… You are so naughty even when you are still a baby. As your Father, I’m worried about you when you grow up, you know? You should thank your big sister Shii for what she did today.” (Yuki) ȓÁƝՕ₿Ęṩ

“Uh… Auuhhh?”  (Sakuya)Nôv(el)B\\jnn

“Yeah. If you can say [Thank you] and [I’m sorry], you’ll have a good relationship… So this is the difficulty of parenting. If you add Riou’s tom boyishness to the mix, you’ve got a father who’s got his work cut out for him.” (Yuki)

“Then his mother will take care of him. You can rest assured that he’ll be in good hands.” (Lefi)

“Hah, you’re not relieving me of my burden, you know.” (Yuki)

“There are many mothers in this family, but only one father. So you are the only one who can do the father’s work. Since you are the one who took us all, you must do your best to take care of all of us.” (Lefi)

“Yes, I will do my best as a father.” (Yuki)

As I was talking about this, I suddenly thought to myself.

The monster that was Mukuro uncle described Sakuya as “the one who has the scent of the Divine Age”.

I could understand that, to be honest…

Sakuya was born into this world with a unique magic power, a mixture of my demon lord magic power and Lefi’s high dragon magic power.

When was it that Lefi told me this?

I think that Sakuya’s magic power was similar to that of the Spirit King.

That meant something like divinity.

It could be said that there was something in my child that had been brought back from the Divine Age.

Well, I didn’t care about that.

Whatever my child may have, we, as parents, just have to love him… Moreover, what we thought so far could be all mere speculation.

The only fact that existed was that Sakuya suddenly wanted to go somewhere.

According to Shii, Sakuya suddenly wanted to go to the end of the alley.

She followed Sakuya’s lead, and the path led her to a garden.

This meant that my son noticed something and wanted to go there, even though he was away from his family… Perhaps he was drawn there by the main God that Mukuro uncle served.

Perhaps that God could not bear to see his subordinate continue to live a life of loneliness, and wished Sakuya to do something about him.

That was my view on how Sakuya noticed that space in the alleyway.

Well, it was completely luck that I chose the Erlin Federation as my travel destination, so either way, it was still a fact that my son had an unbelievable power of fate.

I felt like I was getting a taste of the many things Sakuya would be involved in.

I chuckled and gently stroked my son’s head.

He had a beautiful face, just like Lefi’s.

He also had lovely cartilage-like horns.

…Well, it didn’t matter.

Today was just the beginning. Many things would happen to this boy in the future.

And he had to solve the hardships that befell him by himself.

In doing so, he could rely on his family, or he could lean on someone outside his family.

But at the end of the day, he must stand firm on his own two feet and walk forward.

I wondered how much trouble would befall him…. As parents, we could simply do our best to protect our son.

I am rooting for you, Sakuya.

When you become old enough to drink, let’s make a toast to each other’s hardships.
