Chapter 1192: SIDE STORIES BOOK 2 Chapter 17- Trevor and Gloriana

Gloriana

I was happy. So very happy. I had had such a passionate night with my husband and mate, and I had gotten the result that I wanted. Not that I would have been upset if I hadn’t gotten pregnant. The act of trying is so very fun after all, so there is no harm trying again and again. And even though I was pregnant now, there was no rule that said that we couldn’t be together until after the baby was born.
Practice makes perfect as they say, so we should practice again and again to make sure that we can have more children in the future, if we ever decided to, that is.
I spent that entire first day in the arms of Trevor. We had showered and made love again, but that was the last time for the day. After the shower, we massaged and caressed each other, but we didn’t make love. We just needed to be touching each other.
Trevor had dried me, used a mixture of oils that we made here in the Fae realm to rub me down and release the tension in my muscles, and then he helped me dress. I wanted to do the same to him, so I rubbed him down and helped him dress. He was already dry by this point, so there was no need for me to do that.
We ate lunch in our room, having missed breakfast completely. Even during the meal, I never left Trevor. I sat on his lap, letting him hold me as we ate from the same plate. Later that day, when we were sitting in the parlor, we were still sitting together as the kids came into the room. I just didn’t want to be without him.
"Hey, Mommy! Hey, Daddy!" Calissa called out as she ran toward us. "Geranium had a new game for us to play. They got it in the human realm. It was really fun." She plopped down on my lap, making us become a bit of a tower.
"That is very nice, sweetheart." I said as I hugged her and kissed her cheek.
"We had fun too." Torben said. "Even though I had to take my little brother with me." He looked over at Owen with a smile.
"We’re both friends with Zen, is it my fault that we hang out together all the time?"
"No, I know it’s not." Torben joked with him. "Still, some time with friends alone would be nice." He seemed to laugh. "Anyway, we went camping in the gardens. It was pretty cool. We pretended like those movies that we saw. Like you told us about, Dad." He was talking fast and excitedly.
"That you were in some sort of wild jungle and needed to survive the dangers?"
"Yeah!" Both boys said at the same time.
"It was really fun." Owen gushed. "Hey, how come you two seem so happy?" He asked as he pulled a chair closer.
"They do look happy." Calissa said as she looked at me then Trevor in suspicion. "What happened?"
I smiled at Trevor, asking him with my eyes if we should tell them now. He nodded and I saw the joy in his eyes.
"Well, we have some news."
I said that as I sensed another person coming into the room. Well make that five more people. I could tell that my brother, Valerian, had just stepped through the door from his home near the cliffs into our parlor. It was the way that we stayed connected while he and Daciana lived outside of the castle.
I wanted to tell them the news too, so I just kept going as he and his entire family came into the room.
"This morning your dad and I found out that we’re going to have another baby." I could feel the smile on my face as I said these words. The kids all looked at us for a moment, shock filling their eyes as they let it all sink in. Then they started to celebrate.
"Another baby?"
"We’re going to have another brother or sister?"
"Wow, this is going to be interesting." They all seemed to be celebrating the news as they heard it, which was good because I knew that sometimes siblings weren’t happy when their parents had more children.
"You too, huh?" Valerian laughed as he sat in a chair across the room, pulling Daciana along with him. The kids were standing behind him with smiles on their faces. The oldest, one of the twins, Lily, spoke next.
"We’re going to have another baby in our family too, Aunt Glory. Dad and Mom found out yesterday."
"Really?" I said as I gaped at them all. "How is this possible?" I asked Valerian with all seriousness. Each time that we had gotten pregnant it had been so close to when my brother and Daciana got pregnant.
"I don’t know, but I blame Trinity." Valerian laughed as he snuggled his pregnant wife. "She just had her baby in March after all, so that baby magic is in the air."
"I don’t mind if Trinity is the cause." Daciana beamed at me. "We get to be pregnant together again, Glory. Isn’t this going to be fun?"
"I must admit, I like the idea of having a sister right there with me." I agreed with her.
"Yes, it makes it all a lot less scary."
We talked for a long time about how things were going to go. I was going to be due towards the end of November, and Daciana was about a week and a half further along than I was. We would be almost in perfect sync with each other. Although, it would be nice if this time we didn’t have them on the same day. Owen and Calissa shared the same birthday as my nephew Calix.
Then again, it was a way to bond those cousins for life. And I knew that Owen and Calix were as close as brothers. They would grow up to be a lot like Valerian and I are. And how our brother Sorrel used to be with us. I missed having him around, especially at times like this.
I mentioned him to Valerian, and he admitted that the first thing that he thought of after the happiness and joy of the baby started to settle in, was the fact that Sorrel wasn’t here to celebrate with as our family grew. And he wasn’t here to see his bloodline continue the way that we had watched it over time.
"He would be happy though. I know that he would." Trevor said as he hugged me tightly. "He would be happy that his family was doing so well. And that you two are so happy. He wouldn’t want to see you moping or anything like that. He would want to make sure that you all moved on, just like you are doing now." He was right, I knew that, but it still brought a tear to my eyes.
After a few days, Daciana and I got together again. We wanted to have a specialist check on us, and what better specialist than the man that was trusted the most by Trinity. We took a trip to the human world and into Griffin’s clinic.
"Hello, ladies." He said when he saw us. "What is it that I can do for you?"
"Well," I paused and looked at Daciana, "we just found out that we’re both pregnant. And we wanted to know if you can take a look for us." He smiled.
"Ahh, yes. And congratulations." He seemed genuinely happy for us both.
"And if you don’t mind, Griffin, don’t tell Trinity. We want to tell her."
"I am a medical professional first and foremost, Glory, I couldn’t tell her even if I wanted to. And the only way that she could get it out of me is if she already suspected and forced it out of me with an order. And we all know that Trinity wouldn’t ever do something like that."
"No, she wouldn’t." Daciana agreed as she shook her head.
Griffin did what he needed to. Mostly, we were here for ultrasounds because we wanted to know if we were having multiples or not. Daciana went first, as she was further along than I was, but we were both further along than a human would be if they had just found out a week before.
"Well, Daciana, it looks like you are just having one. I can’t tell you if it’s a boy or a girl yet, it’s too soon. If you see Shawn or Dietrich though, they could tell you."
"Thank you." She beamed as she wiped away the jelly and rose from the table. "I can wait to find out until later."
When it was my time, I laid on the table and let Griffin put the jelly on my belly. It was cool and made me cry out, but I was fine. The moment that he put the wand to me though, I could already see what was happening. Right there, in my belly, were two little babies.
"Twins." Griffin said happily. "Identical."
"That’s good. My last set were fraternal." I made a joke about it. I didn’t care if it was one, two, or ten, I was happy.
OK, ten might be too much, but I was still happy and that didn’t change with twins compared to just one baby. Now I just needed to find the right time to tell Trinity and Reece. They were going to be so happy for us. They loved it when families had good news like this.
