Chapter 638: Chapter 638: Ryan Wesley is Back_1
Alexander Summers looked at the face on his phone for a long time without speaking.
She indeed looked somewhat similar…
But, one was a plain female student, while the other was a pivotal presidential candidate, two people worlds apart, hardly prompting any association.
Moreover, according to this information, she had never been to Clearwater; how could she possibly know Meredith Richards?
Simonson and Simonson, those last names are also far from alike.
Perhaps it was a coincidence…
Alexander didn’t want this man to be Purple Summers’ father; the Simonson Family was a noble family from the north, different from these businessmen—Simonson descendants either joined the military or ventured into politics. Soldiers have a firm presence, and politicians are often sly, regardless of which type, dealing with them would be troublesome.
Again, Alexander thought: if Purple truly was the child of the Simonson Family, they would probably not be willing to suddenly have an additional daughter, would they?
At the critical moment of the election, a scandal involving an illegitimate daughter could not only result in a loss of public support but also lead to Purple being exploited by political enemies.
After a brief thought, Alexander had a clear understanding— the Simonson Family was too complex, unsuitable for Purple to settle down.
He handed the phone back to Zack Wallace, saying, “There’s no need to continue investigating her background. Arrange a new identity for her in another place, preferably one where the whole family is dead, untraceable, to save us the trouble of any future discoveries.”
In doing so, even if one day the Simonson Family came knocking, Alexander could use this as a reason to refuse them taking Purple away.
…
After Purple was discharged from the hospital, she stopped going to the library and instead stayed at home to read and revise every day, never leaving her house.
The two clusters of rose plants she transplanted survived, and after a few days, the buds began to bloom successively, the branches splendid, with a gentle and delightful fragrance.
One day, Jane McCain called to invite her out, saying Ryan Wesley was back, and it was time for everyone to get together.
Purple asked for the time and place, and the next day she went to meet them.
It was not easy for Ryan Wesley to come out; it was said that his school was particularly strict, allowing only two weeks of summer vacation, with the rest of the time spent in summer camps organized by the school.
Therefore, busy or not, Purple made time to meet with her friends.
They agreed to meet at Ocean World Park in Clearwater City.
When Purple arrived, there was an elementary school class on a summer activity nearby, led by a teacher guiding a group of elementary students who each wore a small yellow hat, looking lively as if led by a teacher with a flock of small ducks—it was extremely bustling.
“Why here?” Purple wondered, baffled, and called Jane McCain, “When will you guys arrive? There are so many elementary students here! Are we here to relive our childhoods?”
Jane responded over the phone, “Ah, I see you now!”
She then hung up.
When Purple looked up again, she spotted Jane McCain in the bustling crowd wearing a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.
Without her uniform, Jane dressed herself completely according to her tastes—fashionable and beautiful, just like a model.
She ran over to Purple, slightly out of breath.
“Where are Ryan Wesley and Zara?” Jane asked gasping for air, “Haven’t the two of them arrived yet?”
“I haven’t seen them,” Purple shook her head, glancing down at the time, “They should be here soon, I guess.”
As they were speaking, Zara Jameson also arrived, and that left only Ryan Wesley yet to come.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
“How impolite, making ladies wait for him!” Jane immediately complained, taking out her phone to call Ryan Wesley.
Amidst a background of noisy sounds, Ryan struggled to shout, “I’ve been here for ages! I’m in line to buy tickets!”
The three girls looked towards the ticket line, scanning from start to end and back again, finally locating Ryan Wesley.
They all burst out laughing together, “Ryan Wesley! What kind of outfit is this!”
Ryan’s hair was cut into a buzz cut; he wore a checkered shirt on top and jeans without any holes on the bottom, complete with glasses—the epitome of refined!
