I Was Caught up in a Hero Summoning, but That World Is at Peace

Chapter 2123: Date with Kaori and Olivia ⑫

Chapter 2123: Date with Kaori and Olivia ⑫

While Kaori took action early on, Olivia was deep in thought, watching the stage with an earnest expression on her face. It was true that Olivia had no experience with dating and was somewhat naive. However, she had an extremely earnest personality and had studied various reference materials about dating.

(Mizuhara Kaori said that scenes where the relationship progresses on stage are good moments described as having a nice atmosphere. The term "nice atmosphere" was too abstract and difficult to judge, but if we're talking about the progression of a relationship, even I, with my lack of experience, can understand it. Considering reference materials and so on, the progression in this kind of play can be understood as three stages: encounter, deepening friendship, and establishing a romantic relationship. In terms of encounter, it may be a bit forced to express it as "relationship progression", and in a story where romance is the focus, becoming a couple should be the climax…… but it would definitely be too late for that. So, it would seem that the stage of deepening friendship is the most appropriate timing. However, this stage has the broadest range……)

Due to her earnest nature, she was thoughtfully considering the right timing to transition to lovers' hold. Of course, while thinking this, she was still watching the play, and there was no issue with her understanding of the content.

The current play was still in the early stages, with a scene where the Tree Spirit, revered as the Guardian of a small village, meets a young man from the village.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

(From the advice I got from Mizuhara Kaori and the reference materials…… When watching a romance story, what's important is empathy and emotional investment…… By looking for parts of the characters' situations that resonate with me, I can increase my empathy, and by considering the characters' emotions, I can invest myself emotionally and enjoy the story more deeply. In that case, in order to gauge the right timing, I need to first find the parts of this play that I can empathize with by comparing the story to my own circumstances.)

If Kaori, the person who gave this advice, were to hear this, she might think "W-Wait, you're taking it too seriously!?" but in any case, Olivia was completely earnest.

To find the most suitable timing for transitioning to lovers' hold, she was trying to understand the story more deeply.

(The young man takes the Spirit, who knows nothing about the outside world, out into the world, teaching her things she didn’t know…… This situation somewhat resembles mine. I was once ignorant of so many things, but Miyama Kaito-sama guided me, and thanks to him, my perspective has expanded far beyond what it was before. Now I realize just how narrow the world I lived in was…… How foolish I was to use faith and duty as excuses and be content with knowledge that lacked experience. I now understand that very well.)

Fortunately, the story being performed was one that Olivia could easily empathize with, and the comparison to her own situation was quickly successful.

The heroine, the Spirit, shared many similarities with Olivia’s own situation. The spirit, who also had a strong sense of duty to protect the village, had a rather stiff personality, making it easy for Olivia to emotionally invest in her.

(……I can see it now. The story, which began with their initial encounter, is now taking shape, and from here, the bond between them will gradually deepen. Afterward, some kind of trouble or difficulty will arise, and they will overcome it, ultimately becoming a couple. Of course, there’s the possibility of a tragic ending, but this play is from the theater company that Mizuhara Kaori strongly recommended, and I’ve heard that all of their performances end with a happy ending.)

Although Olivia was the one who ultimately decided which play to watch, Kaori, who loved romance stories, had a significant influence on the decision. Since Kaori was a staunch believer in happy endings, as Olivia had predicted, the story would ultimately have a happy conclusion where the young man and the spirit are united.

(So, the right timing for me to act would be…… after their bond has gradually deepened and they start to consciously think of each other as someone they care for. In that case, what's important is keenly observing the changes in the characters' emotions…… I’ll need to focus even more than before……)

Anyhow, Olivia seemed to have become earnestness itself, but whether she noticed it or not…… the heroine's situation, which was similar to her own, made it easy to emotionally invest in her…… Naturally, that made it so the thought "What if I were in the same situation?" arose.

If that were the case, as for who would she imagine as her romantic partner…… Because such imaginings popped in her mind, it was inevitable that the struggles she faced in her previous prayers might happen again.

<Afterword>

Serious-senpai : [Even though they're both noobs when it comes to love, her approach is just different from Alice…… Olivia feels like the type who would go straight to "self-destruction" with an earnest, determined look on her face……]

? ? ? : [She's the type who tends to put her own mental state aside, so only after she dives in would she probably realize what she's doing and feel embarrassed.]
