I've Become the King of Villains in the Game

Baron Barnie was invited to Pompey Manor as a guest the next day.

Chen Lun arrived on time in the morning to clock in for work and discovered a unique carriage at the entrance of the manor.

After entering the villa, he saw a slightly portly middle-aged man sitting on the sofa, chatting and laughing with Viscount Pompey.

"Come, Barnie, let me introduce you."

Viscount Pompey enthusiastically introduced Chen Lun to his good friend.

"This is Mr. Jack, the tutor I found for Rebecca," said the Viscount.

"Hello, Mr. Barnie."

Chen Lun extended his hand in a friendly manner.

Baron Barnie sized him up with a few glances and shook his hand with a smile.

"So young, I didn't expect Mr. Jack to be a scholar at such a young age..."

He immediately turned his head and asked Viscount Pompey with a look of curiosity,

"I remember you had Mrs. Eulalove, didn't you?"

Viscount Pompey smiled awkwardly and explained briefly, brushing over the matter lightly.

The Viscount then told Chen Lun that Rebecca had been frightened the day before and was still resting. He suggested Chen Lun to look around the villa on his own and feel free to wander around the manor.

After speaking, he and Baron Barnie settled back onto the sofa.

Chen Lun picked up on the implicit message from Viscount Pompey; he didn't want his conversation with Baron Barnie to be disturbed.

"It's about the horse yesterday..."

He thought to himself.

Chen Lun found Butler Binose, who was directing the maids to clean in another hall.

"Butler Binose."

He walked over and greeted him.

"Mr. Jack, what can I assist you with?"

The old butler saw him, stood up straight, and said with a smile.

Through Chen Lun's performance over the past two days, Binose had gained a better impression of the young man.

It was evident that Viscount and Viscountess Pompey were not as repulsed by him as they were at the beginning.

As the manor's butler and someone who had served under two generations of Viscount Pompeys, the old man would naturally align more with the master's opinions and, as a result, show a slightly better attitude towards Chen Lun.

"His Lordship indicated that I could tour the villa, and I'd like to visit the study, if that's alright?"

Chen Lun said politely.

Binose had an expression of realization.

The old butler gestured towards the upstairs with his hand.

Chen Lun followed Butler Binose upstairs.

The spiral wooden staircase was spacious and bright, as the maids scrubbed it clean every day.

On one side of the second floor, there was an exhibition hall filled with artworks.

Without lingering, the old butler led Chen Lun through and entered the other side of the exhibition hall.

"This is it, Mr. Jack. If there's anything else you need, you can find me."

After saying this, he bowed slightly and left.

Chen Lun looked around at the books that filled the room, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Well, well, with so many books… there's got to be one with supernatural knowledge, right!?"

He thought to himself and got started right away.

The library was located on the side of the art exhibition hall but was slightly larger than the exhibition space.

A chandelier hung from the ceiling with eight light bulbs, illuminating the entire library. The place was airy and the bookcases lining the four walls reached the ceiling, neatly filled with various large volumes.

Two wooden ladders were placed on the side for easy access to the books. In the middle of the library was a large desk and several chairs for sitting down to read and transcribe.

For Chen Lun, this was very nice!

Time flew by swiftly.

He had not yet finished flipping through the books on one wall when he picked up a thin, yellow-covered book and began to read.

Chen Lun was somewhat surprised.

Such skills are quite rare, and though the Attributes they enhance are limited, the benefits are permanent.

After all, one must be strong oneself; panel Attributes are the foundation of strength.

He was very satisfied with the skill.

Chen Lun allocated 4 Skill Points to it, pumping them in instantly to max it out.

Skill Description: ...limited to Strength, Agility, Endurance, Charm, and Insight, with each cap increased by 5 points, not to be granted again.

"Five Attributes, each can be raised by 5 points, adding up to 25 points...?!"

This was a considerable number!

It was almost like gaining the profits of leveling up 10 levels out of thin air.

And it includes two Special Attributes, Charm and Insight, which cannot be increased with Attribute Points and are extremely valuable.

"I've hit the jackpot... Thankfully, the Destiny Faction pathway I'm on overlaps with this Nature Faction pathway."

Chen Lun mused to himself.

Theoretically, each Sequence could only acquire skills related to its own path through the corresponding Supernatural Knowledge.

But there were exceptions, such as the situation Chen Lun was in now.
