Chapter 369: Chapter 369: The Heaven Prison, Rescuing Tony

Chapter 369: Chapter 369: The Heaven Prison, Rescuing Tony

In an instant, hundreds of soldiers rushed towards them.

John was slightly surprised by how quickly they reacted. It seemed the prison was heavily guarded.

Fortunately, most of these soldiers were at the level of a one-star Awakened One, which was no challenge for him.

"Who dares to intrude on The Heaven Prison!" There were loud shouts, and without hesitation, the soldiers attacked immediately.

Boom!

A blast of light magic shot towards them, and Beamay quickly retaliated. There was no need to hide their identities anymore.

"My lord, follow me." He swiftly repelled a few soldiers and led John deeper into The Heaven Prison.

More soldiers kept appearing around them, relentlessly charging towards the two.

Debbie and Spoorate remained hidden in the shadows, watching everything with concern.

The two women were far too weak to be of any help, and John didn't intend to let them engage in the battle.

Whiz!

With a flash of cold light, John's twin swords danced through the air, effortlessly cutting down the soldiers who tried to stop him.

Together, he and Beamay fought their way forward, quickly closing in on the prison.

The loud noises soon alerted the stronger guards within the prison.

"Beamay, are you seeking death?" A furious shout echoed, and a figure rapidly approached.

It was the prison warden, a peak three-star Awakened One.

Beamay's face grew serious. He had not yet fully recovered, and he wasn't a match for the warden.

"Leave him to me!" John stepped forward, swinging his longsword. A flash of cold light glinted as he struck out at the incoming warden.

Boom!

With a thunderous roar, the warden was sent flying, completely unable to resist.

"Impressive!" The warden suppressed the surge of blood in his chest, his face grave as he stared at John. Turning to one of the nearby soldiers, he immediately ordered, "Hurry, inform the city lord!"

He could clearly sense that he was no match for John.

"My lord, don't give them the chance to send for reinforcements!" Beamay urgently reminded him. The number of soldiers around them was growing, and the pressure was mounting.

Even though Ben and the others were drawing some of the fire outside, the strength of the prison's guards inside was still formidable.

John nodded. His body turned into a blur as he rushed toward the warden.

"Damn!" The warden cursed, unwilling to face John head-on. The surrounding earth element surged, forming a thick and heavy shield.

Boom!

With a resounding crash, the giant shield was shattered. The sword light flickered, blood splattered, and the powerful warden was instantly killed by a single strike from John.

Such overwhelming strength immediately stunned the surrounding soldiers, freezing them in place, too shocked to act.

John, however, showed no mercy. He swiftly slaughtered all the soldiers in front of the prison's main gates.

Beamay quickly moved to open the heavy, fortified prison gates.

"Move!" John saw that more and more soldiers were rushing toward them, but he didn't rush

to deal with them. Instead, he charged directly into the depths of the prison.

The prison was dim, with flickering flames casting a grim atmosphere. Through the haze, John could faintly make out the prisoners locked in cages on either side.

Most of them appeared gaunt and weak, their life force nearly extinguished. These were prisoners from different worlds, those who had rebelled against The Heaven. It was unclear how long they had been imprisoned, but their bodies were drained, their powers almost completely devoured by The power of laws.

Clang...

John swung his longsword, cleaving through the chains locking the cell doors.

The prisoners inside looked at him with vacant expressions, as if they had long abandoned any hope of resistance.

John frowned. He had hoped to use these prisoners to delay the soldiers within the prison, but now it seemed that releasing them would be as good as sentencing them to death.

Beamay, noticing the incoming soldiers, urged him, "My lord, don't waste your time with these useless prisoners. The ones we need to rescue are deeper inside the prison."

John nodded and rushed further into the prison.

The prisoners deeper inside were mostly those who had only recently been imprisoned by The Heaven-they hadn't fully surrendered yet. These were the ones they had come to rescue. Occasionally, a prison guard would attempt to block their way, but John dealt with them swiftly, cutting them down with a single stroke of his sword.

"Hmm? Someone's breaking into the prison? Human, let me out!" The loud commotion stirred the prisoners deeper in the prison. They rushed to the bars of their cells, furiously banging on the doors.

"Get back!" John shouted angrily, swinging his longsword to cut the chains.

The doors opened, and the prisoners held within began to stir, their faces lighting up with excitement and joy.

"Ha ha! Finally, freedom!"

"Quick, let's kill our way out!"

...

Their shouts filled the air as they began to move, but then they noticed the soldiers arriving from behind. Their eyes turned bloodshot with rage as they charged forward. Unfortunately, these prisoners were severely weakened. Their powers were sealed, and the strongest among them was no more than at the Spirit Body Realm. They were no match for the

soldiers.

John didn't expect much from them; he just needed enough chaos to ensure their escape.

"Kill all rebels without mercy! Anyone who doesn't want to die, get back in your cells!" The soldiers shouted, showing no hesitation as they attacked.

In a matter of moments, nearly a hundred of the prisoners were slaughtered, and the

remaining ones fled in terror, scrambling back into their cells.

At that moment, survival mattered more to them than freedom.

"Godslayer, my lord!" There were gasps of awe from the prisoners.

John finally reached the deepest part of the prison. Here, the ones held captive were those who had rebelled alongside him against The Heaven. There were seventy-three prisoners in total.

"Step back!" John gave a quick reminder, then swung his sword to sever the chains on the prison doors, releasing everyone locked inside.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Godslayer, you're alright! I'm so glad!" Tony exclaimed, relief flooding his face.

"How about it, can you break out?" John scanned the group quickly. Most of the prisoners held here were mid-tier gods, their powers having been absorbed by the crystal ball of The power of laws, leaving them only at the mid-stage of Spirit Body Realm.

This level of power was still far too weak compared to the guards in the prison.

"No problem!" Tony and the others spoke with firm determination. Even if they had to die in battle, they would rather fight than remain locked in this lightless prison, enduring torture

and suffering.

"Stay behind me," John instructed. Soldiers were already rushing into the prison, heading

straight for them.

Luckily, the prison was narrow, so the soldiers couldn't make full use of their numbers.

John sneered and resumed his slaughter, cutting through hundreds of enemies as he moved step by step toward the exit of the prison.

Seeing John's terrifying strength, the prisoners in the nearby cells once again felt hope rise within them. They stepped out of their cells and hid behind the group, charging toward the

outside.

John didn't pay them any mind. These were powerful rebels from different worlds who had fought against The Heaven. Though their powers were sealed, once they recovered, they

would definitely pose a significant threat to this continent.

And for John, the more chaotic the world became, the better it was for his plans.

The sounds of battle, cries of agony, and screams filled the air.

John and Beamay easily blocked the soldiers' attacks, making their way step by step toward

the exit of the prison.

"The space here is too small, we can't move freely. Fall back, secure the main gate of the prison, and make sure not a single prisoner escapes!" A captain ordered coldly.

The surrounding soldiers stopped charging blindly, quickly retreating toward the prison's

outer area.

John furrowed his brow, picking up the pace.

He wasn't afraid of these soldiers, but if they managed to secure the prison gate, it would be

difficult for Tony and the others to break through.

Boom!

Just as John and his group reached the prison's main gate, it slammed shut with a deafening

noise, trapping them inside along with a dozen soldiers.

"Damn it! We're not out yet!"

"Let us out!"

...

The soldiers were panicked, angrily shouting and banging on the door.

Their escape route was blocked, and with John now directly in front of them, they had no

chance of survival.

These soldiers were no match for him and were easily slaughtered without any resistance.

The group gathered at the prison gate, but didn't rush to break it down.

"Human, can you lead us out?" One prisoner, hiding at the back, asked.

John glanced coldly at the person-it was another The Heaven criminal from a different

world.

He couldn't be bothered to deal with them. Instead, he instructed Tony and the others, "Stay back. I'll lead the way and make sure it's safe. You can follow once I clear the path."

"Alright, my lord, be careful." The group nodded and took several steps back.

John raised his longsword and slashed directly at the iron door.

Boom!

The massive prison door was instantly shattered by his sword strike. "Attack!" A shout rang out from outside, followed by the whistling of arrows and the roaring

sound of magic. The barrage of attacks poured relentlessly onto the prison door.

Boom! Boom... John was hit by dozens of spells in an instant. Even though his strength had increased, he

hadn't mastered The power of laws yet, so he had to endure the blows with his own body.

The soldiers' attacks weren't that powerful individually, but the sheer number of them still caused significant damage.

He did his best to use his longsword to block the attacks, gritting his teeth as he endured the

barrage of arrows and spells, pushing his way out of the prison gate.

"Kill!"

A roar echoed as a group of soldiers, who had been lying in wait, surged forward like a tidal

wave.

"You're all out of your league!" John sneered. If these soldiers had stayed at a distance and used ranged attacks, they might have been more difficult to deal with.

But in close combat, they were doomed to fail. Standing at the prison gate, John ruthlessly slaughtered the soldiers rushing at him.

...

Notification after notification flashed across his mind as soldiers fell one after another to his longsword. With each kill, John's strength grew.

But despite the number of soldiers dying, more and more kept flooding in.

The The Heaven prison was crucial, and although Ben and the others were attacking the city

outside, they hadn't been able to draw away enough of the enemy forces.

But John wasn't concerned in the slightest.

The soldiers weren't particularly strong, and the more there were, the better it was for him to

continue growing stronger.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew through, and several cold beams of light sliced through the air.

A powerful opponent!

John's expression shifted slightly. He quickly raised his longsword to block.

Thud!

Blood splattered as he barely managed to block two of the beams, but several others struck

him.

At that moment, a figure in black robes appeared. Holding a curved sword, he fixed his cold gaze on John and said, "Who are you, daring to break into The Heaven prison?"

"My lord, be careful, that's the Lord of Quahog City," Beamay quickly recognized the man and

warned.

The soldiers around them stepped back slightly, showing respectful expressions, halting their

attacks.

John took a good look at the black-robed man. It was Megatron, the Lord of Quahog City, a four-star Awakened One. His strength was certainly not to be underestimated. However, John wasn't afraid in the slightest. His power had grown significantly, and he was

now fully capable of handling a four-star Awakened One with ease. He wiped the blood off his longsword and stood firm at the prison gate, looking at Megatron with a challenging gaze. "Dare to fight me?" he said coolly.
